Trustee: a person who looks after money or property for somebody else
Sentence: he was invited to become a trustee for the local wildlife charity

Volatility: a tendency to change quickly and unpredictably
Sentence: The international oil markets have been highly volatile since the early 1970s.

Yield: to produce or provide crops, profits or results
Sentence: The tax is expected to yield millions.

Portfolio: a thin flat case used for carrying papers, drawings, etc.
Sentence: My stockbroker manages my portfolio for me.

Liquidity: the state of owning things of value that can be exchanged for cash
Sentence: Financial institutions must maintain sufficient liquidity to meet the demands of depositors.

Leverage: power or ability to act or to influence people, events, decisions, etc
Sentence: The company wants to leverage its brands more effectively

Diversification: the process of starting to include more different types or things
Sentence: Through diversification, investors can offset losses on some investments with gains on others.

Derivative: a form of something made or developed from another form:
Sentence: A number of critics found the film derivative and predictable.

Commodities: a substance or product that can be traded, bought, or sold:
Sentence: The oil and gas sector has been battered by a collapse in the price of commodities.

Benchmark: a level of quality that can be used as a standard when comparing other things:
Sentence: the pay settlement will set a benchmark for other employers and workers

Bull Market: a market in which share prices are rising, encouraging buying.
Sentence: There was a decline in prices after the bull market peaked in April 2000

Equity: the value of the shares issued by a company.
Sentence: We aim to provide committed, long term equity to the business and its shareholders
