SAMPLE ANWER
The table presents information about the number of students enrolled at three different English language schools in 2017. Overall, it can be clearly seen that enrolments at the Mayfair School of English (MSE) increased greatly across the year, while despite having the highest number of students at the start of the year, Best Communication English Academy (BCEA) student numbers fell over the twelve months.
MSE started the year with only 135 students, the lowest of the three schools. However, student numbers increased steadily across the year, finishing with a high of 472 learners in the November-December period. Similarly, student numbers at the New Zealand Centre for Languages (NZCL) also increased from January to August, starting at 314 students in the January-February period and climbing to a high of 683 students in the July-August period. However, after August, student enrolments dropped steadily, falling to 496 enrolments at the end of the year.
In contrast, BCEA had the most student enrolments at the start of the year, with 398 in January and February. Student enrolments increased to 491 over the next period, but then numbers dropped sharply to only 212 enrolments in July and August. Student numbers picked up slightly in the next period, climbing back to 267 before numbers dropped once again to only 209 enrolments at the year’s end.
