IELTS writing and listening simultaneously (a key skill!)
Writing while listening is a challenging thing but it is key skill to get great score in IELTS listening. It become more hard and confusing when you try to capture each and every information shared in the clip. So here are some tips that you should follow to make your work easy-
– Focus on the information the speaker is delivering and just try to get stick to it only. Don’t get distracted by looking at the way the narrator is speaking.
– While writing the answers on the question paper just writes the key points and abbreviations that you can understand while coping it to the answer sheet. Don’t try to write whole sentences or big words as they will distract you and some useful information can be missed.
– In IELTS listening there is much irrelevant information that is given to you in order to mislead and confuse the candidate. Try to differentiate between relevant and irrelevant information as this will make you identify the answer easily. For example there are two people making a plan to go for a vacation the essential information will be date/time they finally agree upon other dates and time they discussed upon will be irrelevant.
– Try to guess what the speaker is going to say. Speakers, will often drop clue words or outline what they will to talk about beforehand. This gives you the ability to start your own outline to then fill in.
