SAMPLE ANSWER
Technology is travelling faster than ever before. It brings about radical changes in all aspects of life. For some very important reasons, this essay agrees to the statement that modern technology is creating a single world culture.
Naturally, in this age of globalization, every major human activity is becoming increasingly international. They include education, health care, art and commerce. It is the general belief that this is a century of people. The speed with which technology moves from one part of the world to others gives*a vivid example.
Besides, since the days of industrial revolution the west had been introducing changes in technology all over the world. Production is now factory-based. The progress achieved in transport and communication is profound. For example, the adoption of western technology by people elsewhere has made many local traditions vanished.
Further still, the unenviable position of English as the global language is also creating a single universal culture. For instance, Ayurveda and Yoga, which are of ancient Indian origin, are now popular the world over but they are travelling out of their country of origin through the very powerful medium of English. Even art and media products aimed at international readers, listeners and viewers will succeed only if they are in English.
To put it briefly, everything that people do today is international. The west, particularly the English- speaking countries, has a clear domination of the world. Thus, to a very great extent, the argument that modern technology is creating a single world culture is relevant.
