Young drivers are careless and overconfident, and too many killed in accidents. To eliminate this problem, we could teach children the skills of safe driving while they are at school .To what extent do you agree or disagree to this to this statement?

Careless, reckless and overconfident driving, a thrilling experience to many a young person, is a major reason for the increase in the number of road accidents. It is time that prolonged and effective remedial measures are taken to curb this menace. This essay agrees to the view that children must be given lessons in safe driving while they are still at school.
Undoubtedly, driving is an essential skill everybody should possess in these modern times. With the thrill of speed and desire to impress others, young drivers at the wheel have become a major public health risk everywhere. Watching action movies and trying to imitate their adored heroes and cited as reasons for youngsters to involve in rash and negligent driving .another factors is that even in the absence of proper driving instructions and before getting license, many young people try to experience the thrill of driving.
In view of the foregoing, imparting proper lessons on driving and proper guidance to children at school level would be a grand idea towards eliminating fatal road accidents by youngster’s. Children learn fast, become expert and responsible drivers when they grow up. In the absence of facilities for actual driving lessons, students may be taught about traffic rules, signals and safe driving in a simulated (=artificially created) atmosphere. Schools may take pupils out to busy junctions and crossroads to give them practice in traffic control ,with the help of traffic police. Arranging them to visit hospitals to personally see the victims of road accidents is sure to help.
In essence, youngsters drive recklessly and ruin others lives. Among other rigorous measures, giving lessons to children on driving is positive to reduce the number of accidents in future.
