SAMPLE ANSWER
People have for ever been using various intoxicants and stimulants such as alcohol and tobacco, which are addictive and harmful to health. The ban on these are likely to produce no benefits to the society other than increasing the pressure on the public purse, such the implementation of ban costs a lot of money. Instead of banning tobacco and alcohol, this essay supports the legalization of all drug for various reasons.
A very significant argument against banning drugs is their benefits to society as excellent painkillers, if used moderately. For example, canapés is a wonderful drug which can give imminence relief to multiple sclerosis patients. But doctors are unable prescribe it because of the ban on it. It is true that the use of drug can cause physical or mental problem to some people. However, it may be argued that grown up people have the right to consume things as long as they have a control on it.
Another point of import is that the ban on drug offers* a fertile soil for the growth of criminals and crimes. To cite an example, drug traffickers are now selling many of the banned drugs in the black market at an exorbitant (= excessive) price everywhere in the world. These drugs are otherwise much cheaper. It must be noted that selling them in the open market is a good source of revenue for governments.
In brief, banning of tobacco and alcohol is an undesirable step since the expenditure on the part of governments to implement a ban will be huge. The increase in the number of crimes related to the sale of drugs reveals* that the legalization of all drugs is in the better interest of everyone.
