IELTS Speaking Test
What will you bring when you go out?
Well, you know, there are certainly some items that I’d consider essentials whenever I go out. For example, a pair of headphones to listen to music when I’m on the move. It really makes my daily commute less boring.
Did you ever forget to bring something?
Well, I going to admit I’m quite a forgetful person. There have certainly been times when I’ve left the house without my keys, my phone or even worse, my wallet. It’s really a nuisance finding out that you have no cash on hand when you want to pay for, like, a coffee or something.

Will you bring different things in the daytime or at night?
I guess I do bring different items at different times of day. Like, for example, in the morning when it’s really sunny, a pair of shades might come in handy so I always bring that. By contrast, at night when it can get a bit cold, it’s quite useful to have a light jacket to brace yourself against the chill.
Have you seen many kinds of birds?
Well, living in the city, birds are a rare sight. Most of the stuff about birds that I’ve seen is on documentaries of the great outdoors. I mean, I’ve seen some common breeds in real life like pigeons and sparrows, but nothing too exotic. However, whenever I plan any treks or outdoor exploration days, I make sure that I carry my camera to photograph any rare nests I might come across.

How do people in your country feel about birds?
Overall, they are not very into birds. Only elderly people are fond of keeping birds in their home, or feeding them at the local parks or ponds. Most of people only like to eat them especially game birds like pheasants. People in remote areas often hunt for birds in the wild and roast them over an open fire. They are considered a delicacy where I come from.

One of the most exciting experiences I had for the first time was scuba diving. It happened about two years ago, when I went on a vacation to the Andaman Islands with my friends.
Since I had never tried scuba diving before, I was both excited and nervous. Before diving into the sea, we received a short training session from professional instructors. They taught us how to use the oxygen tank, hand signals for communication, and some basic safety rules. Then, we finally got into the water.
As I dived deeper, I was mesmerized by the beauty of the underwater world. I saw colorful fish, vibrant coral reefs, and even a few sea turtles swimming peacefully. It felt like I had entered a completely different world, far away from the noise and rush of daily life. The feeling of weightlessness and the silence under the water made it a surreal and unforgettable experience.
I enjoyed it so much because it gave me a new perspective on nature. It was thrilling, peaceful, and adventurous at the same time. It also helped me overcome my initial fear of deep water. Since then, I have wanted to try scuba diving again in different places around the world.
