Which animal do you find interesting?

There are many wild and pet animals to choose from but I find monkeys the most interesting. They are the hoppers, the go-getters, the friends. It is so easy to see them laughing with their friends or helping each other. Not only that, science predicts them to be closer to human species which makes them interesting to me.

What is your opinion about animals being kept in prison?

Keeping animals in captivity is one of the most horrendous of crimes humans do, in my opinion. We have become more greedy and selfish than ever before. For fulfilling our needs, we have taken away the habitats of animals forcing them into prisons. I have been to zoo few times and seen some of them depressed with their lifestyle.

Do you think government can do something about animals being kept in prison?

With the increasing human population and the human demands, freeing animals is not the most pragmatic thing to accept from our governments. But, I believe that animals should be kept in places closer to their habitats or similar to their habitat. Also, for animals on verge of extinction, special care must be taken.

How do you think government can protect animals from poachers, hunters, and people who kill animals for prey?

The government has to change their perspective from laws for people who kill towards how to protect. For instance, the security system must be tightened around the endangered species. Also, education can be used to impart the knowledge about different species. There can even be ad campaigns showing the different species and why they are important. Like, there are ads for smoking and cancer, so should be there for the safety of animals.

What is your opinion for using animals as beasts of burden?

I would choose the grey color. One cannot deny that we do need animals for carrying our burden sometimes, like donkeys for carrying good or horses for traveling or ox for pulling carts. But, the problem is when we overdo it. Making a donkey bare a load more than he can carry or not give enough food is something that must be refrained from. Also, with the advancement in technology, one can obviously look for the other alternatives.

Do you think that the relationship between animals and humans is changing or is likely to change in future?

Times are definitely evolving and things and relationships around us are changing, including the one between humans and animals. In the fast-paced life that we now live, no one has the time left to have a pet or take care of animals around! In earlier days, people ensure they had water and food on their rooftops for the animals and gave away food the street dogs. Although in towns still there is a connection between animals and humans, in cities it is slowing fading away.

One time, I had to work with a team to complete a group project for a university course on marketing. The project required us to create a comprehensive marketing plan for a hypothetical product and present it to our professors. This was a big part of our final grade, so there was a lot of pressure to perform well.

This took place in my third year of university, during the spring semester. The project spanned over six weeks, and we were required to meet regularly to discuss our progress and divide the tasks among ourselves.

I worked with four other students in the same course, all of whom had different strengths and weaknesses. One of my teammates was very creative and had excellent design skills, another was good at research, while the other two were more focused on the analytical side of marketing. I took on the role of coordinating the team and making sure that everyone stayed on track.

At the beginning of the project, I noticed that some team members were hesitant to take on tasks they weren’t familiar with, and there was a lack of communication between us. I decided to organize a meeting where we could clearly define each person’s strengths and allocate tasks based on that. I also emphasized the importance of regular communication and keeping each other updated, which I thought would help everyone stay motivated and contribute their best ideas.

One of the biggest challenges was convincing some team members to speak up during discussions. To address this, I encouraged everyone to share their ideas, assuring them that every contribution was valuable. Gradually, this helped everyone feel more comfortable and open, and the cooperation in the team improved significantly.

Yes, I really enjoyed working as part of this team. It was a great learning experience, especially in terms of leadership and communication. I learned how to motivate people, manage different personalities, and make sure everyone felt included in the process. The teamwork was challenging at times, but in the end, we successfully completed the project, and we received a high grade for it. The sense of accomplishment after we presented our work to the professors made the whole experience really rewarding.

What makes a good team leader?

A good team leader should have strong communication skills and the ability to motivate others. They should be able to delegate tasks effectively, ensuring that each team member is playing to their strengths. A good leader also needs to be approachable, listen to others’ ideas, and resolve conflicts when they arise. Most importantly, a leader should lead by example and be willing to put in hard work along with the team.

Is it easier to work in a team or individually?

It depends on the task. For projects that require different skills and expertise, I think working in a team is more effective because you can combine everyone’s strengths. However, for tasks that require deep focus and independence, working individually might be better as you don’t have to coordinate with others or divide the work. Both have their advantages, and it’s important to assess the situation before deciding.

How do you deal with team members who don’t contribute enough?

In such cases, it’s important to address the issue directly but tactfully. I would first try to understand if there’s a specific reason why the person isn’t contributing, such as lack of confidence or misunderstanding their role. Then, I would try to clarify expectations and offer support where needed. If the issue continues, I would have a one-on-one conversation to discuss how we can move forward and ensure that everyone is pulling their weight.

Do you think teamwork is important in the workplace?

Yes, teamwork is crucial in the workplace. Most jobs today require collaboration with colleagues to achieve common goals. Effective teamwork can lead to more creative solutions, faster problem-solving, and a better work environment. However, it’s also important for team members to work independently when necessary and have the skills to contribute effectively in a team setting.
