Do you think being cruel to an animal is the same as being cruel to a human?
Certainly, it is. Most animals can’t protect themselves when someone hurts or kills them but they do feel pain. So, in a way animal abuse is much more inhumane.
Should people be allowed to hunt animals for their own entertainment?
As far as entertainment is concerned, nowadays people have a lot of means to entertain themselves, so they shouldn’t be allowed to hunt animals for pleasure. In my opinion, hunting for fun should be banned globally. There is no point in killing helpless animals just for the sake of enjoyment. It is morally unacceptable. It’s abhorrent.
How can we help protect endangered species of animals?
Protecting endangered species is a challenging task. It requires a lot of efforts and commitment. As an individual we can financially support charities that work for threatened animals. We can even work voluntarily for such organizations.

What sorts of human activities make it more difficult for wild animals to survive?
According to a World Wildlife Fund report, farming, deforestation and hunting are the major human activities that have threatened the lives of thousands of animal species. Human induced climate change is also a serious threat to wild animals.
Is it fair to make pets out of wild animals?
Absolutely not. They’re called wild animals for a reason. They’re supposed to be free in the wild. Freedom is their fundamental right. If you really want to have a pet, there’re plenty of other options.
If a shark kills a human in the sea, should it be hunted down?
I don’t think so. Hunting is not a feasible solution to this problem as it can affect the ecology of the ocean. In my view, other precautionary measures like nets, drum liners or tagging can be more effective in dealing with the issue of shark attacks.

PART – 2 CUE CARD
Describe how you usually spend time with your friends.
You should say:
– how often you meet them
– what you do together
– where you go together
– and say how much you enjoy spending time with your friends.
SAMPLE ANSWER
Spending time with my friends is something I really value. I try to meet my friends regularly, usually at least once a week if our schedules allow. We often plan outings or get-togethers where we can catch up and have fun together. Sometimes, we just hang out at someone’s place, watch movies, play games, or simply chat and relax. Other times, we go out to eat at restaurants, grab coffee at a café, or explore new places in our city.

I really enjoy spending time with my friends because it gives me a chance to unwind, laugh, and share experiences with people who understand and support me. It’s a great way to de-stress and enjoy the company of those I care about. We often reminisce about old times, discuss current events, or share our goals and aspirations. These moments strengthen our bond and make me appreciate the value of good friendships even more.
Overall, whether we’re having a laid-back evening at home or exploring new adventures outdoors, every moment spent with my friends is something I cherish and look forward to.

PART – 3 FOLLOW UPS
How do you decide where to go or what to do when you meet up with your friends?
Usually, we decide based on everyone’s preferences and interests. We often chat in our group chat or call each other to discuss ideas. Sometimes, it’s as simple as someone suggesting a new restaurant they want to try, or we might plan a specific activity like bowling or hiking based on what we’re in the mood for.
Do you have any specific traditions or rituals when you hang out with your friends?
Yes, we have a few! One tradition is that whenever we go out for meals, we always share a few appetizers or desserts so we can all try different things. Another ritual we have is a monthly game night where we rotate who hosts and we play board games or video games together—it’s always competitive and a lot of fun.

How has spending time with your friends impacted your life?
Spending time with my friends has had a huge positive impact on my life. They provide support during tough times, celebrate successes with me, and offer different perspectives on various aspects of life. It’s also a great stress reliever and helps me maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Are there any memorable experiences or adventures you’ve had with your friends that stand out to you?
Definitely! One memorable experience was a spontaneous road trip we took last summer. We decided last minute to drive to the beach for the weekend, and it turned into one of the most fun and memorable trips we’ve had. Another time, we attended a music festival together, which was an unforgettable experience filled with great music and laughter.
How do you think your friendships have evolved over time?
I think our friendships have deepened as we’ve grown older. We’ve been through different life stages together—college, starting careers, relationships—and our bonds have strengthened through those experiences. We’ve also become better at supporting each other and understanding each other’s needs and aspirations.
