SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear Manager,
I am writing this letter to draw your attention about overbilling that occurred while settling my final payment.
The week before last, my family and I planned to have a week’s holiday from Charlottetown, PE to Halifax, NS. Therefore, we rented a ‘Nissan Altima’ for one week. My invoice reference number is PE56982.
As per agreement, the total payable fees to you are $864.00, but my credit card was debited for $ 1034.40, an excess amount of $170.40. On this overbilling, I inquired this matter with your representative. I was surprised to know that $100.00 was debited for a ‘Service Fee’ for the e-toll transponder activation and $70.40 was deducted for topping up the fuel tank at the time of return. To my knowledge, there was no agreement clause referring to this stipulation.
Additionally, I returned the car with full-tank and the car collecting officer did acknowledge this fact on the final bill. Enclosed is the copy of final bill.
Therefore, I request you to credit the difference amount on to my credit card within three days.
