Dear Kris,
Hello there! It’s been a while since I last spoke with you, and I hope everything is going well. I am writing to extend an invitation for you to attend this year’s Diwali. It is one of the major festivals in India. Indians celebrate Diwali as a special day. Diwali marks the end of the Indian calendar year, so people decorate their homes with sparkling lights, and paint their backyard floors with vibrant designs. They offer special prayers, give sweets, and visit friends and family to wish them a prosperous new year. In India, there is a great deal of excitement surrounding Diwali.
As per mythology, Lord Rama returned to his palace on this day after spending 14 years in exile, making it the most significant and highly famous event. Therefore, it has become customary for people to rejoice and love a lot on this day.
