Dear J,

I was absolutely thrilled to hear the fantastic news about your promotion to Vice President! Congratulations, my friend! Your dedication, hard work, and perseverance have truly paid off, and I couldn’t be happier for you. You’ve always been an inspiration, and this achievement is so well-deserved.

To celebrate this wonderful milestone, I would love to invite you over to my place for dinner next weekend. It’s been far too long since we caught up, and this feels like the perfect occasion. Let me know which day works best for you — Friday or Saturday?

On my end, life has been moving along smoothly. I recently started a new role at a marketing firm, and so far, it’s been both challenging and exciting. Also, we’ve finally finished renovating our home — you must come and see the changes!
