You are going to organise a family party next week at your home. You want to invite a friend to this party.
Write a letter to your friend inviting him/her to attend the party. In your letter,
– explain why you are organising the party
– describe what you are planning to do
– say why you want your friend to come to the party
SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear [Friend’s Name],
I hope you are doing well! I am writing to invite you to a family party that I am hosting at my home next week, and I would love for you to be there.
The reason for this celebration is my parents’ wedding anniversary, and we are organizing a small gathering to mark this special occasion. Since it is their 30th anniversary, we want to make it a memorable event with close family and friends.
We have planned a fun evening with music, games, and lots of delicious food. There will also be a slideshow of memorable moments from my parents’ life, and later, we will cut a cake to celebrate. I know you enjoy music and dancing, so I am sure you will have a great time!
It would mean a lot to me if you could come. You are like family, and your presence would make the event even more special. Please let me know if you can make it.
