The pie charts illustrate the member participation rates in different activities at the Sunshine Community Center in 2001.
Overall, yoga was the least preferred among the 18-25 age group but the most popular among individuals aged 35-45. The charts also show that swimming, outdoor pursuits, and dance exhibited minimal distinctions between the two age cohorts.
Regarding activities with the most striking differences, while only 8.2% of younger people engaged in yoga, the activity attracted nearly a quarter of members aged 35-45, marking the highest figure. Conversely, the younger group showed a strong preference for team sports, with a substantial 22.4% participating, almost twice as high as the rate of the older group. Meanwhile, fitness classes maintained a significant presence across both age groups. However, the younger generation displayed a slightly stronger preference, with over 25% participating compared to 17.3% of their older counterparts.
The remaining activities at the Sunshine Community Center, including swimming, outdoor activities, and dance, transcended generational divides. Participation in swimming was approximately 20% for both demographics. Similarly, outdoor activities and dance garnered roughly 11-15% of participants in both age groups.
