The table presents water consumption trends in four sectors in Country A from 2010 to 2020.

Overall, while industrial and residential sectors showed an increased consumption with notable fluctuations, the commercial and agricultural sectors exhibited more variability over the decade. In addition, the figure for the industrial sector was ranked first while the commercial sector recorded the lowest figure in all years.

A comprehensive overview reveals that the industrial sector maintained the highest levels of water consumption throughout the decade, albeit with a fluctuating pattern. Initially, the sector’s usage stood at 200 million cubic meters in 2010, slightly decreasing to 180 million by mid-decade in 2015. Subsequently, there was a modest uptick to 190 million cubic meters by 2020. In stark contrast, despite consistently recording the lowest consumption figures, the commercial sector demonstrated a notable variability in its pattern. This sector saw a decrease from 80 million cubic meters in 2010 to 75 million in 2015, followed by a remarkable recovery to 90 million cubic meters by the end of the decade.

Turning to the residential and agricultural sectors, they commenced the decade with consumption figures of 120 and 150 million cubic meters, respectively. Notably, residential water use, initially ranking third among the sectors, exhibited a steady ascent over the years, while agricultural usage, initially second highest, displayed a more pronounced fluctuation. This deviation in the agricultural sector is particularly noteworthy, considering the initial assumption of minor variations.
