IELTS ACADEMIC WRITING TASK 1
The two pie charts below show hand dominance in identical and non-identical twins.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
SAMPLE ANSWER
The above graphs show the distribution of hand dominance among sets of identical and non-identical twins. In both groups, right-handedness is extremely common, accounting for 85% of participants in the first group and 89% of participants in the second group.
However, comparing the two groups shows some differences in the patterns of hand-dominance for left-handed and ambidextrous individuals. Among identical twins, left-handedness, while still much less common than right-handedness, was twice as common as ambidextrousness, at 10% and 5%, respectively. In non-identical twins, however ambidextrousness was almost three times more common than left-handedness, with totals at 8% and 3% of the population respectively.
Altogether, this demonstrates that while right-handedness is still by far the most common, other handedness patterns differ between sets of identical and non-identical twins.
