What you should do on the day of the exam
Appearing in an exam is always challenging and it’s same with IELTS and students often get nervous on the test day as they don’t know what happen on the test day. They cannot understand what to do and the rules to be followed while entering the exam venue and during the exam. Some of them get confused about how the exam will be taken. So today we will discuss What you should do on the day of exam including some do’s and don’ts.
Things to carry
There are many misconceptions between the students regarding the things to carry in the examination hall. The primary thing that should be carried is your identification document which you used to fill your exam. It is mandatory to carry this proof both for written and speaking test as the examiner will ask you to show it. Sometimes passport sized photographs are also demanded so you should carry 2 of them. Nowadays due to Covid 19 mask and sanitizers are also compulsory to take with you.
Besides, you should keep pens, pencils and erasers to the hall but all these things should not be wrapped. It is recommended to use pencil while attempting Listening and Reading tests.
Arrive at test venue before time
Arrive at test venue at least 40 minutes before the test time. This will give you some time to settle in the environment. Moreover, you can easily find the allotted room and you will not feel nervous. You will settle down in your room without any hustle and bustle and automatically feel relaxed, you will be fully focused on the test.
One thing more before going to the allotted room you should go for washroom as during the exam if you go for it you will lose your valuable time. You will not be compensated with extra minutes for the time you consumed for going to the washroom. In IELTS every second is precious and those minutes used can be a game changer.
