BEST TIP: UNDERSTANDING THE GENERAL READING MODULE
In the IELTS, some tasks are more predictable than others. For instance, we are aware that every portion of the Listening module is associated with academic knowledge and education. The General Training Reading module is the same. This is your chance to do well because the topics are fairly predictable. In this post, we will examine each GT Reading section to determine what is and is not predictable.
UNDERSTANDING THE G.T. READING MODULE
Let’s first understand the pattern of your GT READING exam:
The time allotted for the test is sixty minutes. The format of the test The IELTS General Reading test consists of three sections with a total of forty questions. You are prescribed to burn through 20 minutes on each part.
The structure of the three sections and an idea of the kinds of texts they will contain are shown here.
Section 1 consists of two or three brief texts that provide factual information about everyday life (such as a hotel evacuation procedure, a series of related advertisements, or a course outline).
Section 2 includes two brief work-related factual texts (such as a job description, staff training, and disciplinary procedures).

Section 3: a longer, more complex text (such as one from a book, newspaper, magazine, or company handbook that is of general interest).
Although these sections contain different topics yet some of the idea can be generated prior to your exam which would help you to prepare and stay ready for the kind of language or words that you face.
Let’s understand these sections in details:
BEST TIP: UNDERSTANDING THE GENERAL READING MODULE
SECTION 1 :-
Segment 1 is quite often founded on a few short texts connected with involving English for ordinary errands — booking a lodging, searching for data in an ad, perusing directions on applying for a driving permit. Is it true or not that you are accustomed to involving English in your everyday existence? If that’s the case, you shouldn’t have much trouble with the first section.
SECTION 2 :-
Section 2 is also predictable because it contains at least one work-related text. For instance, there are many texts about managing workplace issues in the GT module. There are a great deal of words and articulations in the work environment that have quite certain implications — comprehend them and you will respond to the questions significantly more unhesitatingly. There can be many words such as effort, evaluate, win-win, agreement, cost of entitlement, fixed-term contract, legally required, ad hoc basis, resource allocation, assets, management directives, facilitate and so on.

SECTION 3 :-
Section 3 always includes lengthy text that is significantly more difficult than the previous two sections. Worse yet, the text’s subject matter can cover anything from coffee bean harvesting to marine animals. Of you want to score higher, you should begin perusing a more extensive scope of texts, similar to the points referenced previously. Newspapers and media outlets will publish a lot of articles on many different subjects.
