Important advice
1) Vocabulary: Vocabulary is the main focus of summary completion questions. To get a high score, you must be able to identify a variety of synonyms and paraphrase.
2) Answer order: Typically, the answers follow the same sequence as the missing words in the text. The essential terms will make it easier for you to identify the infrequent times when they aren’t.
3) Words from text questions: Pay close attention to the word count you should use in your response, such as NO MORE THAN TWO WORDS. Even if the information is accurate, your response will be deemed incorrect if you write more than this.
4) List of words questions: You won’t need all of the words in the list because there will be more than there are gaps in the summary to fill.

There may likely be a few words on the list that you can remove right away because they are obviously wrong. This might be due to their grammatical structure or meaning. To save time when thinking about them, cross them out in pencil.

5) Prediction: Based on the sentence’s context, try to guess the kind of word you’ll need to complete in each gap as you read the summary. Is it a verb, noun, adjective, etc.? By doing this, you’ll have a clear idea of what you’re looking for, which will make it much easier to find the right word.
