Tips to achieve 7 band score in both Reading and Listening
To achieve 7+ band score in IELTS is a big achievement and is not easy to score. You have to plan a lot of things and keep certain things in mind in order to achieve this score.
Firstly, let’s understand how the marks are distributed in detail since,IELTS reading and listening have 40 questions each, in order to get band 7+ you have to at least answer 36 questions of each.
LISTENING EVERYDAY:
A very important point to remember to follow is to listen and understand the English language every day because when you listen to certain things, again and again, you will be able to grab it easily and it also improves you. CAREFULL LISTENING:
Listening module requires lot of concentration so that you don’t miss out on anything as in the main IELTS exams listening is played only once so you have to be very alert. Since in the listening test the audio is played only one, you need to give your full concentration and should be able to understand the different accents as well and also listening carefully will improve your vocabulary and grammar and there is always something new to learn.

This means if you understand the question very well, then it will be easier to answer that particular question. It is better to go through the text and the questions, before actually writing the answer, you should give yourself 5 minutes, in the beginning, to prepare for the answer.

Skimming and Scanning is very important module in Reading. You will find these words in every blog, and every website of IELTS reading. Skimming means going through the text quickly and getting the overview of the same and Scanning means looking for the key words.
GIVE SINGLE QUESTION NOT MORE THAN 1 MINUTE:
If you are not able to find correct answer for a particular question don’t waste more than 1 minute on that question move on to next question and in the end if you have extra time come back and answer it but don’t leave it empty make your best guess as there is no negative marking.
