Some students just fill their exam but they don’t have idea about the test structure and modules. So you should be clear about the four sections of IELTS listening, reading, writing, speaking. To make it more clear, I will explain you that, in the listening module you have four sections, in the reading you have three long paragraphs, in the writing you have 2 tasks that you have to complete and in the speaking section you are going to be speaking with native English speaker face to face for about 12/15 minutes. Also you should about the timing of IELTS exam. As you have 40 minutes for listening, also you have more 10 minutes to transfer your answers to an answer sheet. Apart from it, you must have idea about the types of question in reading and writing.

3. Make the use of the English language a regular part of your everyday routine.

Some student feel hesitate to speak in English with their colleagues. They don’t try to speak English in front of other. If you want to speak fluently, it’s vital to get as much exposure to English as possible. You should be doing something in English every single day, even if you’re not actively studying. This practical practice will make you more confident and helps you to use the words in an appropriate manner.

4. Multitask when listening in English

It’s no secret that the IELTS test is demanding and the listening module is no different. You will have to provide answers to 40 questions throughout 4 recordings. The recordings will be played only once. Typical questions include sentence completion, summary completion, form completion, maps and multiple choices. In this test you have to Listen, Write and Read and all at the same time so if you want to get good scores in listening train yourself to do all the tasks at the same time.

There is no any negative marking in IELTS exam. Consequently, sometime examiner has no idea about the correct answers. So sometime they will check the wrong answers by mistakes. Make sure that you write all the answers in reading and listening.
