Strategies to write an ideal essay
1) Planning
This is the first and foremost process of every task.
Never answer to any question quickly, always read the question properly and figure out the main command you’re being asked to write. Then, spend few seconds to develop your ideas or opinions in response to the question. Try to relate the given topic with your knowledge or past experiences.
2)Give structure to your essay
It’s imperative to structure your essay, as structure assists to arrange your thoughts. It also illustrate your capability to interact your ideas and thoughts logically. There should be a smooth transition in the essay from one paragraph to the next paragraph .
3) Give a logical flow to your thoughts
Go writing faultlessly, there should be linking in your ideas in the writing task 2. This also aids you in moving from one point to another in a logical sequence and to describe you points in accurate manner.
4) Usage of variety of sentences
Instead of repeating your sentence patterns, alter the length of your sentences to emphasize important points in your essay. If there is no change in the formation of sentences,you response to answer seem so monotonous. Avoid Repitition by changing the style and structurize your essay.
5) Identify your Errors
Be ensure that you should write correct spellings and don’t make any grammatical errors. Proofreading is must, so spend almost 5minutes for this task which help you to examine your mistakes. Pay more attention to the verbs, adverbs, pronouns, and tenses as they are more likely to include errors.
6) Don’t memorize answers
You can learn and use terms and phrases to impress the examiner, but using those exact sentence from any book or sample may appear mechanical and boring. Thus, it’s more advisable to be more creative in the construction of statements. Include the sentences relating to the topic but with different structure.
7) Write conclusion vividly
Never introduce new argument in the last paragraph; instead, complete your essay with a clear conclusion. Besides that, the concluding statement should be accurate and clearly connected to the viewpoints which are mentioned in the preceding Paragraphs.
8) Elaboration of ideas and opinion
Elaborate your ideas or point to provide support to make your point more clearly. For instance, in opinion or discussion essays, in order to describe your opinion or understanding of the subject, use personal experience which makes your essay more impressive and natural. It depends on your arguments, devote one paragraph to describe contributing factors and the other to describe it’s impact.. In case of opinion, discuss your ideas and opinions in detail.
9) Be with the consistent tone
Don’t wait until the end to express your thoughts. Instead, express your point of view throughout the essay. Some test takers provide facts throughout the essay and include their summarised idea in the conclusion which may create a confusion for the examiner and you lose the marks, therefore.
10) Check your word count
Substantiate the word count does not imply counting every single word. Instead, it implies making sure you’ve written more than the instructed number of words . Practice, practice and practice . It is the only method to determine whether you’ve written more than the recommended word count.
