THE BEST WAY TO PREPARE FOR THE IELTS SPEAKING TEST

PREPARE FOR THE IELTS SPEAKING TEST

This test has three sections and lasts less than fifteen minutes. The test taker and the examiner might discuss general issues and introduce themselves during the first five minutes of the examination. The capacity of the test-taker to talk on a task card with a randomly selected topic is evaluated in the second section. The final section only makes the second more intricate. At this point, the examiner will also focus on fluency, lexical resource, and pronunciation.

It is crucial to practice all of the material under exam settings since this will help you become accustomed to the strain of the test. In order to participate in the second section of the test, you must be able to take notes that will facilitate your two-minute speech.

You should also practice answering questions when you don’t really know the answer. Remember that your knowledge is not assessed but your English language proficiency is.

Remember persistence is the key to success during the preparatory phase of the examination.

Immerse yourself in English as much as possible. Read as much as you can in English, online magazines or blogs are a great place to start. Write in English every day in a diary, blog, or message members of an online community, such as those on a Facebook group that interests you. Listen to native speakers conversing among themselves and, if you can, participate. Try the “shadowing” technique, which involves repeating what someone has just said in English. This will help with pronunciation, intonation, and stress.

Bear in mind self-learning is possible as long as you are committed and find someone who is able to give you feedback.

Most Indonesian IELTS learners are unaware of their current English level, which is often Intermediate or below, and do not consider or forget that IELTS is an English proficiency test. As such, your English is expected to be top notch.
