In IELTS tips are the path to solve the question easily and every student want some straight forward tips that can help him. Nowadays the internet is flooded with many different types of tips and strategies. Students wonder here and there to find a tip that suits them and this search goes for every module thus consuming time. Today we have some Magic Tips to improve your scores in all modules of IELTS. So let’s discuss them one by one.
Listening
– At the beginning of each part you get some time to read the questions utilize this time properly. During this time read the questions carefully of that section and underline the keywords, before the recording starts. This will give you an idea of what you are going to hear. As a result you can follow the recording easily to identify the answers.
– Make sure you know at which stage of the recording you are in and this can be identified by the words like ‘firstly’, ‘my next point’, ‘to sum up’. This will help you to know which question you have reached.
Reading
– You should improve your reading skills as you need to read fast in the exam in order to meet the deadline. Your reading speed can be enhanced by reading different books and text.
– There is no need to get familiar with the topic of the passage as in IELTS reading you should only understand meaning of the passage. The passage includes the information you need to answer the question.
Writing
– Try to write in simple language don’t try to be too sophisticated. Don’t try to use phrases or structures you are fully familiar with.
– Work according to your band requirements if your need is of 6 Bands there is no need to write complex sentence structure. On the other hand, if your goal is 7 Bands then you should go with advance vocabulary, sentence structure and language.
– Stick to the word limits and should not write more than 260-265 words in IELTS Writing 2 task. Excess writing will consume more time and if you write more than the chances of committing mistakes also increase.
– Overuse of connecting words like However, Furthermore, Moreover, etc. can make your score go downwards.
– Use your own words to give your views don’t use the words from the question as the words copied from the question are not counted in the word limit by the examiner. As the examiner have some rules for word counting.
– Write in a clear way so that the examiner can understand your point of view easily and properly. Conclusion, the last paragraph of your essay should contain the text which is consistent with the arguments you have included in your essay.
Speaking
– Don’t stop speaking until you are told to do so, don’t just answer to the point and stop. Speaking test is the time to show your English speaking skill and you should take it as an opportunity.
– You may face the question about which you are not familiar or have no opinion. If you face something like this, tell the examiner immediately, so that he can replace the question. Anyhow, you start speaking on the topic you may stuck due to lack of knowledge and the examiner will think that you have language problem.
– Practice is must in IELTS speaking so you must practice with friends, at work and on the phone. You can also record yourself and listen again and again to rectify your mistakes. There are some other tips to improve your speaking skill.
– There are no rights or wrong answers in the Speaking test. The examiner will assess you on how well you can express your ideas and opinions in good English.
