For example- If during speaking if you start thinking that should I use “ing” before or after the “verb” your mind will get diverted and you will lose the flow.

4. Afraid of making mistakes

The most common enemy of speaking is the scared of making mistakes. Most of the people don’t speak because they are afraid of making mistakes they think that if I said something wrong the person in front will laugh on me. The other side of the coin is if you will not mistakes how you will learn where you are making mistakes. Unless you speak, you won’t learn. If you are so much concerned about making mistakes in front of the strangers start speaking with your friends and non-native English speakers initially to build up your confidence. Start with small sentences and share your daily life experiences with them this will boost your confidence.
