GAZE – Look at steadily and intently.

OBSERVE – To watch closely.
Sentence – We must observe the correct protocol.

STARE – To look intently

SEE – To view.
Sentence – I looked all around, but I could see nobody there.

GLANCE – To look quickly or briefly.
Sentence – He sat quietly, glancing through a newspapers.

RETICENT – Unwilling to speak about your thoughts or feelings.
Sentence – He is very reticent about his past.

MAJESTIC – Having very impressive elegance, beauty.
Sentence – She crossed to the window and stood watching another majestic sunset.

IMPRESSIVE – Causing a deep feeling of admiration.
Sentence – She was very impressive in the interview.

DRIZZLE – Light rain falling in very fine drops.
Sentence – The drizzle had now stopped and the sun was breaking through.

DELUGE – An overflowing of the land by water.
Sentence – This little stream can become a deluge when it rains heavily.

STORM – A disturbance of the atmosphere marked by wind and usually by rain, thunder, lightning.

CLOUDBURST – A sudden, very heavy rainfall, usually local in nature and of brief duration.

RESOLVE – To solve or end a problem or difficulty.

AVER – To say that something is certainly true.
Sentence – The lawyer averred her client’s innocence.

PUNGENT – Smelling or tasting very strong and sharp.
Sentence – The pungent whiff of the pig.

FATUOUS – Not correct or not correctly thought about.
