Fate – the development of events beyond a person’s control, regarded as determined by a supernatural power.

Sentence : It was her fate to become a world-famous musician.­­­

Fortune – chance or luck as an external, arbitrary force affecting human affairs.

Sentence : He amassed a great fortune through his business ventures.

Karma – the sum of a person’s actions in this and previous states of existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future existences.

Sentence : She believed that her good karma would bring her happiness in the future.

Providence – the protective care of God or of nature as a spiritual power.

Sentence : She felt that Providence had guided her to this point in her life.

Predestination – the divine foreordaining of all that will happen, especially with regard to the salvation of some and not others.

Sentence : He believed that his predestination was to become a great leader.

Serendipity – the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way.

Sentence : It was serendipity that brought them together.
