Haunt: to cause repeated suffering or anxiety

Hobble: to walk in an awkward way

Halting: stopping often while saying or doing something.

Hostile: unfriendly and not liking something

Sentence: The president had a hostile reception in Ohio this morning.

Latch: a fastening device

Sentence: Make sure the cabinet door is latched so the cat can’t get in.

Oppress: to make uncomfortable or worried

Sentence: Strange dreams and nightmares oppressed him.

Wicked: morally wrong and bad

Sentence: It was a wicked thing to do.
