Endanger: put (someone or something) at risk or in danger.
Sentence: “he was driving in a manner likely to endanger life”

Hazard: something that is dangerous and likely to cause a problem
Sentence: It can be a safety hazard to wear dark clothing that car drivers can’t see at night

Venture: a risky or daring journey or undertaking.
Sentence: We ventured out into the woods.

Exploit: a notable, memorable, or heroic act
Sentence: our company has failed to exploit developing markets

Stake: to risk harming or losing something important:
Sentence: He has talent and ambition, and I’d stake my reputation on his success.

Jeopardize: puts (someone or something) into a situation in which there is a danger of loss, harm, or failure
Sentence: His health has been jeopardized by poor nutrition.

Escapade: an act or incident involving excitement, daring
Sentence: The boys’ escapade might end with their arrest.

Speculation: ideas or guesses about something that is not known;
Sentence: There was speculation that the blaze was started by a petrol bomb
