It is recommended only to use the words when you really know its meaning and how to use them. Leaning new words is good but you should not use them forcefully.
3. Work on pronunciation
Pronunciation is very important for scoring good scores. Some students have problem in pronunciation it can be hazardous as wrong pronunciation can change the meaning of the word. This will bar the examiner to know what you are trying to say or the examiner can misunderstood you and can deduct the numbers for task response. So if you are doing this mistake work on it by listening various speeches or some other means or get adopt some strategies to resolve the issue.
4. Work on word stress
Another way to improve your speaking bands is to know about word stress, on which word you should give more stress. Some students give equal stress on every word and sound like robots this make their conversation boring and stereophonic. The examiner thinks that the answer is learned and can cut off your scores. You should take pauses and give more stress to the important words that you want to highlight as this will make your speaking more impressive and natural.
5. Practice with a partner
You should practice a lot to improve your speaking skills and if you find a partner who can do speaking with you than it will be much beneficial for both of you. While practicing as a couple you both can exchange new ideas and words. Moreover, the person on the other side can easily identify your mistakes and can correct you. Above all learning together is always a fun.
If you think that you should practice for long hours, you can start from short time on daily basis even the practice sessions of 15-20 minutes can make a huge difference and can improve your speaking skills.
