Abandon- to leave something, or someone, usually forever; especially someone you are responsible for.
Sentence- There is war like situation so the villagers are advised to abandon their houses.
At heart-in someone’s real nature.

Alert-a warning to people to be prepared to deal with something dangerous that might happen soon.

Awestruck-feeling very surprised or impressed by something.
Sentence- He was awestruck to see his birthday gift given by his parents.
Appetite- a natural desire for food.
Sentence- My brother does a lot physical activity, so he has quite an appetite.
An inevitable consequence- certain to happen and unable to be avoided or prevented.
Sentence-Natural calamities like floods and earthquake are an inevitable consequence.
Appropriate- suitable or proper for a particular purpose or situation.
Sentence- His action was appropriate according to the situation.
A concrete jungle- a way to describe a city that has many modern buildings and few green spaces, so it is unpleasant to live in.
Sentence- The cities are becoming concrete jungle so the birds don’t have any place nest in.
A social butterfly- refers to an extrovert person who is social or friendly with everyone.
Sentence-He is a true social butterfly and he attends every party.
A high-flyer- someone who has the strong desire to be very
successful.
Sentence- He is a high flyer and I am sure he will do something extraordinary in his life.
Adulation-excessive admiration or praise.
Sentence- The sports star enjoyed the adulation of his fans.
Avid- very enthusiastic about something (often a hobby).
Sentence- He was an avid fan Bran Lara.
A sense of accomplishment- a feeling of success in something or when you achieve something great.
Sentence- Having victory over world champion gives him a sense of accomplishment.
Attain-to succeed in achieving something that desires a lot of effort.
Sentence- He attained his goal by completing his Masters degree in Physics.
Aquatic life- the creatures and plants that live in the water for most or all of their lifetime.
Sentence-The chemicals which the factory put into the river killed all the aquatic life.
