How to answer IELTS writing task 2 questions that ask you to discuss both points of view before giving your opinion.

Many aspirants get confused this question type with agree/ disagree or give your opinion questions. In agree/disagree you are supposed to choose an opinion and give arguments justifying your opinion but in discuss both views you have to give arguments for both statements and give your opinion.

Students usually commits some common mistakes like they don’t state their opinion, they give arguments for only one aspect or sometimes they fail to balance both sides.

3. Generate ideas

You should have some unique and strong ideas that can justify your opinion and impress the examiner and if you have a good idea than you can easily explain it.

4. Vocabulary

Try to use heavy words but it does not mean that a word clicked your mind and you use it by hook or crook. The use of vocabulary should be sensible and should be used where it is needed so it does not look odd.
