BEST TIP: ARTICLES IN ENGLISH
In English there are three articles: a, an, and the. A type of adjective, articles come before nouns or their equivalents.
The definite article (the) is used before a noun to show that the reader already knows what the noun is.
When the identity of a noun is unknown or general, the indefinite article (a, an) is used before it. There are some instances in which a noun does not require an article.

Countable nouns refer to things that can be counted and are either singular or plural
Non-countable nouns refer to things that can not be counted and are always singular
There are some rules of using articles with count and non-count nouns which are explained as follows:-
1. If the specific identity is not known the articles ‘a or an’ are used with count -nouns and if the the noun is uncountable no article is used.
2 . If the specific identity is known both the nouns follow the article ‘the’.

3. If the sentence has nouns such as all things or things in general than no article is used in both the cases.
It is important to know that count nouns are either particular (one) or plural (mutiple), however non-count things are consistently in solitary structure.
For instance, let’s assume we are talking about milk that has been spilled on the floor, there can be one drop (particular) or at least two drops (plural) of water on the table. The word drop in this model is a count thing since we can count the quantity of drops. Therefore, the article a or the would be used in the word drop in accordance with the count noun rules.

However, if we are talking about all of the milk that was spilled on the floor, it would not be appropriate to count one milk or two milk because there would just be water on the table. A noncount noun is milk.
The three specific rules that explain the use of definite and indefinite articles are as follows:
INDEFINITE ARTICLES:- Unknown specific identity: When referring to a singular count noun whose precise identity is unknown to the reader, use the indefinite article a or an only.
