Some old people today struggle with the use of modern technologies such as smartphones and computers.
What is the cause of this? What are some possible solutions?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
SAMPLE ANSWER
Modern technologies as smart phones and computers are so trendy and booming nowadays. Though it can cause a problem for a certain group of age people as the old one. What causes these problems and what are the solutions?
Firstly, old people are not used to modern technologies and they prefer writing pen and reading papers. Using smartphones and computer can be such a pain in the arse. They say that by writing on a paper they can finish their job quicker and better but on a computer, this will take a long time by clicking and searching for letters and spacing etc.
Secondly, they find applications on smartphones so tricky and needs a lot of concentration and time they don’t have and sometimes they say that letters are too small for them to be able to read. Although old people are not used to this technology, we can still find them some solutions to help them manipulate it easily. We can choose applications that don’t recommend a lot of focusing and are easy to understand and we can write to them the steps to do on a paper so they can practise.
Besides that, we can also choose for them, the application they might like as games and show them that they can video talk with their loved ones so they can be motivated to learn more easily.
In the end, each one of us is afraid of anything new and when we use to do things and when we are motivated we learn fast.
