Many claim that the fast food industry had a negative effect on the environment, eating habits, and families. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
SAMPLE ANSWER
The fast food industry has become a significant part of modern life, offering quickly and affordable meals to busy consumers. However, many individuals believe that it has harmful effects on the environment, peoples eating habits and families as well. This essay will explain why I firmly agree completely agree with this viewpoint.
One major drawback of the fast food industry is its negative impact on the environment. The large rate of meat production, especially beef, contributes to deforestation and significant carbon emission.
For example in some countries forests are being cut down to build posture for cattle. Additionally, fast food outlets generate massive amount of plastic waste such as plastic cups and wrappers which ends up in landfills or polluting natural ecosystem. These environmental consequence are alarming and demand urgent action.
Another concern is the impact of fast food on peoples eating habits. Fast Food is often high in calories, unhealthy fats and added sugar. While lucking essential nutrients for the healthy functioning human body. Regular consumption this kind of meals can lead to serious health issues, for instance, obesity, diabetes, problems with digesting system or even heart diseases. In my country, for example, the rise of lifestyle diseases has been closely linked to the increasing popularity of fast food particularly among young generation and teenagers.
