Many major cities are facing a housing crisis as they cannot provide enough land for new buildings. Some local governments believe the problem could be solved by reassigning park land for residential development, because this land would be better used for housing. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

For individuals and families looking for opportunities, many large cities are tempting destinations. This has led to a housing crisis together with the growing population. Parks might be converted into apartments and homes, according to both the government and housing businesses, who believe this is a better use of the land. In my opinion, there are many other, better options available, and this misuse of the natural landscape’s greenery is just unacceptable.

In large cities, parks and gardens are extremely valuable. First off, despite the fact that cities are already congested, residents should occasionally relax and appreciate the nearby outdoors. Especially given how stressful city life can be. In addition, parks are ideal places for families to interact, children to play, and local celebrations and events to take place. Additionally, green spaces are beneficial because they not only continuously offer us clean air to breathe. But also because the wide-open areas have been shown to have positive effects on our eyes and our mental health. As a result, these institutions are greatly needed and shouldn’t be eliminated.

Of course, there are a lot of other pertinent considerations. Building companies and governmental plans should prioritise the urban periphery. Many of these locations have large, undeveloped grounds. As a result, more individuals will be motivated to move to rural areas where they are more likely to be required and given employment opportunities. Another excellent idea is to use more advanced engineering to construct skyscrapers, which can house more people on a given plot of land without squeezing them. It is important to make use of such advancements in technology. So, before putting the sustainability of green space in a crowded city at risk, states have a few options.

In conclusion, despite the fact that providing livable housing for urban populations is a challenging issue, governments shouldn’t ban parks. I think parks provide numerous benefits, and we should protect them. There are also, in my opinion, other admirable solutions to this problem.
