Which language do you prefer to write in?
I prefer writing in English, because these days, a majority of written communication is carried out in English, only. In addition to this, in my occupation as well as in most other professions, English is the most preferred medium of communication. Hence, I do most of my written work in English. However, when required, I do write in my first language, and in my national language, also.
When did you start learn English?
I started learning English when I was in school. After leaving school, I took up my tertiary education in English, and even now, I keep updating myself on the latest developments in written and spoke English by reading books and by visiting English teaching websites.
Did you like to visit beaches/seashores?
Yes, I like visiting seashores because the climate there is fantastic. What’s more, I live in a city that is far away from sea. So, I get to take a break of 2-3 days from work, when I decide to visit the seashore. This is an additional reason for me to go out to the beach and enjoy with my family.

At what time of the year do you prefer visiting beaches?
I prefer visiting beaches in winter because the climate on seashores stays warmer and more humid compared to other inland areas, where the atmosphere in winter is cold and dry.
If given a chance, would you like to live at the seashore? Why?
I would certainly like to live on the seashore, because I like the climate there. I also enjoy various physical activities like jogging, sunbathing, boating, swimming, and beach volley ball.

I enjoy playing outdoor games as well as some computer games too. Last weekend my mother was out of town with my aunt and I was made in charge of the house. I thought I will enjoy being master/mistress of the house and readily agreed to supervise the domestic help and do some small chores.
I woke up at 8o , clock about an hour earlier than my usual time, I prepared tea for myself and my father. The day started well and I switched on my favourite TV channel cartoon network. Within a span of 1/2 an hour I had to get up thrice for the milkman, garbage collector and the house maid. I did not even get time to take bath and quickly changed as my maternal uncle was visiting that day.
I realised that dusting the house and making beds was a very boring task. Moreover, it is extremely boring to entertain guests when you don’t have common topics to discuss. My uncle discussed the political scenario and the geopolitical issues. He was critical of everyone. This baffled me further. I could have enjoyed that weekend with my friends but I was stuck with something that was not my cup of tea.
Now I realized that entertaining guests and managing the house is a boring and thankless job.

How does the economy benefit from people’s leisure activities?
The leisure industry makes a huge contribution to the economy. As I said before, it keeps millions of people in employment, and all of these employees pay their taxes and have money to spend on other goods and services. At the same time, most people spend some of their earnings on leisure activities, and this money therefore goes back into the economy.
Do men and women enjoy the same type of leisure activities?
Yes and no. I think both men and women enjoy things like eating in restaurants or going to the cinema, but I’m sure there are other activities that are more popular with one gender. For example, I think more men than women go to football matches.
