SAMPLE ANSWER
One of my most memorable holidays was my trip to Goa last summer. I went there with my close friends right after our college exams. It was a perfect way to relax after weeks of studying and stress.
We stayed near the beach, and every morning we watched the sunrise while sipping coconut water. During the day, we tried different water sports like parasailing and jet skiing, which was both thrilling and fun. In the evenings, we explored local markets, enjoyed Goan food, and listened to live music performances.

In the past, holidays were mostly about visiting relatives or attending family gatherings. People didn’t travel far because transportation was limited. Technology and better connectivity have completely changed the way we plan vacations.

Do you think it’s better to take short holidays or long holidays?
I think it depends on a person’s lifestyle and schedule. Short holidays are great for quick relaxation, especially if someone has a busy job. However, long holidays are better for exploring new destinations in depth and truly disconnecting from work stress. Personally, I prefer longer holidays because they allow me to recharge fully.
How do holidays help people maintain work-life balance?
Holidays act as a mental and physical break from work pressure. When people take time off, they can focus on their hobbies, family, or personal goals, which reduces stress. After a good holiday, most people return to work with better concentration and a positive attitude.
What kind of places do people in your country prefer for holidays?
In my country, people love visiting hill stations like Manali or Shimla during the summer, and beaches like Goa or Kerala during the winter. Some people also enjoy spiritual trips to holy places such as Varanasi or Rishikesh. It really depends on personal interests and the season.
