SAMPLE ANSWER
I’ve always loved food from homemade meals to fancy restaurant dishes, I enjoy exploring different cuisines and flavors. I consider myself an adventurous eater, always eager to try something new. However, there’s one type of food I’ve learned to avoid: street food. As tempting and convenient as it may seem, I’ve had a bad experience that left a lasting impression.
It happened on a hot afternoon after a long day of shopping at a crowded local market. I was exhausted, hungry, and too tired to wait for food at a proper restaurant. That’s when I noticed a small roadside stall that many people were crowding around. The aroma of spicy food filled the air-smoky, savory, and mouthwatering. I ordered a plate of chicken with some fried rice and chutney on the side. The dish looked delicious- deep red pieces of chicken, crispy on the outside and steaming hot.

Without thinking much about hygiene or how it was cooked, I devoured the food quickly. At the time, it tasted fine, maybe even good. But by the evening, I started to feel strange. My stomach cramped, and I felt nauseous. Soon, I began vomiting repeatedly and even fainted. My worried parents rushed me to the hospital, where the doctor confirmed that I had food poisoning.
He explained that the food I had likely been cooked in reused, unhealthy oil and might not have been stored properly. I spent the next week bedridden, unable to eat anything without feeling sick. It was one of the most uncomfortable and miserable weeks I’ve ever experienced. Since then, I’ve become much more cautious about where and what I eat. Even now, whenever I pass by a street food vendor and catch a whiff of something delicious, a part of me is tempted. But then I remember that awful night and how it felt to be so helpless and ill. That memory is enough to keep me away.
