What are the reasons that people do not retire?
Many people don’t retire because of financial reasons. Others just love what they do and feel bored without work. Some also want to stay mentally active.

One situation I clearly remember was when I promised my younger sister that I would attend her school’s annual function. She had been selected to perform a classical dance in front of a big audience, including parents, teachers, and students. She was extremely nervous but also excited, and she wanted me to be there to support her.
The function was scheduled on a weekday evening, and unfortunately, I had an important client presentation at work the same day. It seemed difficult to manage both, but I had promised her that I would come no matter what. I didn’t want to break her trust, especially since she was counting on me.

I spoke to my manager well in advance and worked extra hours the previous day to complete the presentation early. On the day of the event, I rushed straight from the office to her school.
