Do you own a lot of keys?
I don’t own a lot of keys, as I try to keep my keychain as streamlined as possible. I only carry the keys that I need on a daily basis, such as my house key and car key.
Do you ever forget your keys?
Occasionally, I do forget my keys if I am in a rush or distracted. It can be frustrating to have to go back and retrieve them, but I try to be more mindful and organized to prevent this from happening too often.
Have you ever been locked out of somewhere because you didn’t have your keys?
Yes, I have been locked out of my house before because I forgot my keys inside. It was a frustrating and inconvenient experience, but I was eventually able to find a spare key and get back inside.

What would you do if you lost your keys?
If I lost my keys, I would first try to retrace my steps and see if I could locate them. If that didn’t work, I would likely have to replace the keys or call a locksmith to gain access to my home or car.
What’s worse, to lose your keys or to lose your phone?
It really depends on the situation and the person. For some people, losing their phone would be a bigger inconvenience as it contains important information and contacts. For others, losing their keys would be more stressful as it could potentially result in being locked out of their home or car. Ultimately, both situations are not ideal and can be frustrating to deal with.

One event that truly surprised me was when my close friend, whom I’ve known since childhood, suddenly announced that he was getting married. What made it even more unexpected was that he had never mentioned being in a serious relationship before.
This happened last year, around September. He invited a few of us to his house under the pretense of a casual get-together. But when we arrived, he and his partner announced their engagement and handed out wedding invitations. It was in our hometown, in a small but cozy celebration at his home.

It was surprising because none of us had any idea that he was even dating someone seriously. He had always been quite private about his personal life, so we assumed he wasn’t in a rush to settle down. It caught all of us off guard in the best way possible.
I felt a mix of emotions. At first, I was shocked, but then I felt genuinely happy for him. It reminded me that people can have entire parts of their lives you know nothing about, and that’s okay. It also made me realize how love and major life changes can happen when you least expect them.

What is the connection between a person’s behavior and their happiness?
There is often a strong link between how people behave and how happy they are. People who are content and satisfied with their lives usually display more positive behaviors—they’re kind, generous, and more willing to help others. On the other hand, when someone is unhappy or stressed, it often reflects in their actions. For instance, they may be short-tempered, withdrawn, or less enthusiastic. It works both ways—being happy can improve behavior, and changing behavior, like practicing gratitude or engaging in social activities, can enhance happiness.
Do you think happiness is something people are born with, or is it learnt over time?
I believe happiness is a combination of both nature and nurture. Some people might be born with a more optimistic disposition, which makes it easier for them to find joy in life. However, I think happiness is largely influenced by experiences, mindset, and how people deal with challenges. Over time, people can learn strategies—like mindfulness, building strong relationships, or focusing on personal goals—that help them become happier.

How can you tell if someone is truly happy? What are the signs?
It’s not always easy to tell, but there are a few signs. Truly happy people often have a sense of calm and contentment. They tend to smile more naturally, show genuine interest in others, and are usually optimistic about the future. They’re also more resilient when facing difficulties. However, appearances can be deceiving, as some people may look happy but are struggling internally, which is why emotional well-being is sometimes hard to judge from the outside.
How do happy events or good news affect people when they are feeling sad or stressed?
Positive events can have a significant uplifting effect, especially during tough times. They can act as a distraction from stress and offer hope or motivation. For example, receiving good news—like a job offer or reconnecting with a loved one—can completely change a person’s mood, even if only temporarily. It gives them something to look forward to and helps shift their focus away from negativity.

Do you think happiness means the same thing for different generations? Why or why not?
Not exactly. Different generations often value different things based on their experiences and the era they grew up in. For example, older generations might find happiness in stability, family, and traditions, while younger people may associate happiness more with freedom, career success, or experiences. The definition of happiness evolves over time, shaped by cultural and societal changes, technological advances, and even global events.
What role does society play in shaping people’s happiness?
Society plays a major role. It influences our values, expectations, and even how we measure happiness. For example, in some cultures, success is closely tied to material wealth or social status, while in others, community and relationships are more important. Social norms can pressure people to behave or live a certain way, which can either promote or hinder happiness. Additionally, societal factors like healthcare, education, job opportunities, and freedom also contribute to an individual’s overall well-being.
