When do you use a computer?

I use my computer when I need it most, for instance, if I want to browse some websites or to download huge MB files which cannot be accommodating into my phone storage. So all these things I will definitely go behind my computer.

What was your impression when you used a computer the first time?

My first encounter with the computer was when I was studying in 4th standard …For me, the computer is almost like a TV …..But most of my attention was captured by the rat-like thing that’s a mouse. It has a blue and red color which was blinking, and moreover, I touched the keypad and gently I made a firm pressure in the icons and wrote down my name. It was really marvellous….now I’m flooded with my childhood memories.

How did you learn to use a computer?

as I said earlier, I had a computer as a subject in my 4th standard at that time itself teachers helped me to figure out the few basic steps like opening and shut downing the system and holding the mouse, etc….but later my father brought a computer to our home, and my elder brother helped me to learn the advanced things.

One child that I know and like a lot is my cousin, Ayaan. He’s around seven years old and lives just a few blocks away from my house, so we see each other quite often.

I’ve known Ayaan since the day he was born. Our families are very close, so I’ve watched him grow up from a tiny baby into this energetic, curious little boy. We often spend weekends together, either at family gatherings or just hanging out at the park.

Ayaan really enjoys doing creative things. He loves drawing, especially cartoons and superheroes. He also has a huge interest in building things with LEGO blocks, which I find fascinating because he’s very good at creating complex designs for his age. Apart from that, he’s really into stories and always asks me to tell him new ones. Sometimes, he even makes up his own characters and plot twists, which is both adorable and impressive.

I like Ayaan a lot because he has a very bright and cheerful personality. He’s always full of energy, but he’s also polite and respectful, which is quite rare in kids these days. What really stands out to me is his curiosity—he’s always asking questions and genuinely wants to understand how things work. I enjoy talking to him because he reminds me to look at the world with wonder, something we often lose as adults.

Do you think children are naturally creative?

Yes, I believe children are naturally creative. Their minds are not limited by logic or rules like adults, so they come up with unique ideas and perspectives. This creativity is especially noticeable when they play or draw—they can imagine entire worlds from the simplest toys.

How important is it for children to play?

It’s extremely important. Play isn’t just about having fun—it helps children develop social skills, problem-solving abilities, and emotional intelligence. Through play, they learn how to interact with others, express themselves, and even deal with failure.

How has the way children spend their free time changed in recent years?

Children today spend much more time on digital devices compared to the past. Earlier, they used to play outside with friends, but now they often prefer video games or watching videos online. This shift has reduced physical activity and face-to-face social interaction, which can affect their overall development.

What qualities make someone good with children?

Patience, empathy, and good communication skills are key qualities. Children need someone who listens to them, understands their emotions, and explains things in a simple and kind way. A good sense of humor also helps, as it builds trust and makes the child feel comfortable.
