Usually, free decoration with lighting and original flowers because it gives me a fresh fragrance, and lighting gives me positive Vibes.

How is your home decorated?

My home is decorated with artificial flower pots, voice family pictures, some natural pictures, and some furniture.

What is your favourite colour when decorating your home?

Sun’s yellowish colour is my favourite when I decorate my home because it is very positive for us and give me energy.

What colour would you never use in your home?

I do not like the brown colour while decorating my home because it is very dull.

I like a light pink colour when I paint my room because it is my favourite colour as well as it looks very nice.

Do people in your country like redecorating their homes?

Yes, the maturity of my country’s people likes to refurnish their houses and redecorate because they like to give a new look to their home where they spend their whole day.

What is the new decorating trend for this year?

For the last 1 to 2 years maturity of people has liked to decorate their houses with modernised technology and with unique decorative pieces.

SAMPLE ANSWER

One of the most memorable cultural events I attended was Diwali Night organized at my university campus in Sydney last year, around mid-October. Diwali, as you may know, is a major Indian festival also known as the Festival of Lights. The event was held in the student union hall and brought together people from different backgrounds to celebrate Indian culture.

The main purpose of the event was to promote cultural diversity and inclusiveness within the university. Since many international students from India study there, it was a way to make them feel at home while introducing others to their traditions and customs.

The event started with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by classical and Bollywood dance performances, musical acts, and a fashion show featuring traditional Indian attire. The highlight, for me, was the food stalls—offering a variety of Indian sweets and spicy street food. Everyone was dressed in vibrant ethnic wear, and the whole hall was beautifully decorated with lights and colorful rangoli patterns.

I felt truly happy and inspired while participating. Even though I’m not Indian, I felt warmly welcomed. It was a beautiful reminder of how powerful cultural events can be in building connections and understanding. I also got to learn a lot about the traditions, which was eye-opening and enriching.

What are some important social or cultural events in your country?

In my country, we celebrate a wide range of social and cultural events. One of the biggest is National Day, where people gather for parades and fireworks to celebrate our independence. We also have cultural festivals such as Heritage Day, which showcases traditional music, dances, crafts, and food. These events play a vital role in preserving our identity and heritage, while also educating the younger generation.

Why do people enjoy attending cultural events?

People enjoy attending cultural events for many reasons. Firstly, such events are a great way to connect with others, especially within one’s community. They also offer an opportunity to experience diversity, discover new traditions, and enjoy food, music, and art from different backgrounds. Additionally, cultural events can be quite educational, helping people develop a broader worldview and a deeper appreciation for global cultures.

How can cultural events promote understanding among people from different backgrounds?

Cultural events serve as a bridge between different communities. When people from various backgrounds come together to celebrate, they learn about each other’s customs, languages, and values. Absolutely, children should definitely be encouraged to take part in cultural events. Such experiences shape their social awareness and cultural intelligence. Whether it’s performing in a dance, tasting new food, or wearing traditional clothes, these memories often stay with them for life.
