What kind of books do you like to read?
I mostly like to read biographies. I’m not sure why, but it is interesting to read about people’s real lives, especially when they have had interesting lives and have had to deal with many problems. I do read fictions as well, but I often find it difficult to get hold of a book that I really like. I also like reading about books dealing with current affairs.
Do you read the same kind of books now that you read when you were a child?
Not really, no. Actually, with I didn’t read that much when I was a child, but if, I did it was mainly fiction books, such as fairy tales. Things like The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, and othe such fantasy books.
When do you think is the best time to read?
I think any time is ok, but when I read I like to concentrate, so I can’t read for a short time like on a bus ride like some people do. I like to put time aside to enjoy it. So if I have some free time at the weekend, I might read for a few hours. And I nearly always read before I go to bed – this really helps me to sleep.

How have games changed from the time when you were a child?
Games have changed tremendously over the years. When we were children, the standard of the game or the players were not as good as it is today. Moreover, newer rules have been introduced to make it more appealing to the television audiences. I think the speed of the game has considerably increased. There is much more money in sports and games today, so more and more young people are interested in making it a full time career. That was not the case when I was a child.
Do you think this has been a positive change? Why?
Yes, it has definitely been a positive change in all ways. Games have become more popular and players get much better rewards. Televised games have made it possible for people to watch games in the comfort of their homes rather than going to a stadium. Watching games have become a very easy affair. Overall, the standard of the game has improved.
Why do you think children like playing games?
Children are physically very active and you can’t keep them idle for a long time. They always like to be with their friends, playing some games. Psychologically, at their age, they can’t think of engaging in a serious activity for a long time. Playing games would occupy them in a very effective way; otherwise, they are going to create some mischief at home.

– How you addressed their concerns
– And explain the result of the interaction.
SAMPLE ANSWER
One occasion when I had to handle a challenging customer was during my part-time job at a mobile phone retail store. The customer was an elderly gentleman who had recently bought a smartphone from our store and came back extremely frustrated because he couldn’t figure out how to use it.

The main challenge was that he wasn’t very tech-savvy and assumed the phone was defective. He was visibly upset, raising his voice and demanding a refund, even though the device was working perfectly. I had to stay calm and patient while listening to his concerns without interrupting him.
Instead of brushing him off, I invited him to sit down, and I walked him through some basic functions of the phone—how to make calls, send messages, and use voice commands. I even set up a few apps he needed, like his email and contacts. I reassured him that it would just take a bit of time and practice to get used to the technology.

In the end, the customer was very grateful. His attitude completely changed, and he even apologized for being rude earlier. A week later, he returned to the store—not to complain, but to thank me again and ask a few more questions.
This experience taught me the value of empathy, patience, and good communication when handling difficult situations.

PART – 3 FOLLOW UPS
What are the qualities of good customer service?
Good customer service is built on a few key qualities. First and foremost is effective communication—employees must be able to listen actively and respond clearly. Patience and empathy are also essential, especially when dealing with frustrated or confused customers. In addition, having deep product knowledge and the ability to offer practical solutions makes the customer feel confident in the service. Lastly, professionalism and a positive attitude can completely change the tone of an interaction and leave a lasting impression.
How do businesses benefit from providing good customer service?
Businesses that provide excellent customer service often enjoy greater customer loyalty, which leads to repeat sales and positive word-of-mouth marketing. Satisfied customers are more likely to leave good reviews, recommend the business to others, and return even when there are cheaper options available. Over time, good service becomes a key part of a company’s brand identity and gives it a competitive advantage in the market.

Why do some customers become difficult to deal with?
Customers can become difficult for several reasons. Sometimes it’s due to genuine frustration, such as when they receive a faulty product or experience a delay. However, in other cases, it may stem from miscommunication, unrealistic expectations, or even personal stress that they carry into the interaction. Additionally, lack of understanding about how a product works or company policies can lead to confusion and conflict.
Do you think companies should train employees to deal with angry customers?
Yes, absolutely. Dealing with angry customers requires specific skills that not everyone naturally has. Companies should invest in training programs that include role-playing scenarios, conflict resolution strategies, and techniques for staying calm and professional. When employees are trained to handle emotional situations with confidence, they are more likely to de-escalate the problem and retain the customer’s trust.
