What types of clothes do you like to wear?

Well, it depends. When I go to work, I always try to look sharp because I work in a formal environment. So that often means a suit and tie. But, if I’m just hanging out with my friends or taking a leisurely stroll, you’re more likely to find me in casual outfits: a well-worn pair of jeans, a T-shirt and some sneakers.

What kind of clothes do you never wear?

I absolutely hate at leisure clothing. They say it’s supposed to be comfortable. I really don’t know why they say that. I get all hot and sweaty in it. I’d rather just work out in a t-shirt and shorts.

Where do you buy most of your clothes?

Hmm, again, it kind of depends. If I’m feeling flush, I might go to the splurge on some clothes. On the other hand, if I don’t have a lot of money, I might shop at flea markets. You can score some great deals there and buy tons of clothes without breaking the bank.

Have you ever worn a uniform?

Yes, absolutely. Wearing uniform is kind of the norm in my country. Students are often dressed in a plain white button-up shirt and a pair of navy slacks, and the shirt has to be tucked in. The look is quite sedate, and I am going to say I liked it, because I didn’t have to stand in front of the mirror fussing over what to wear to school.

How often do you drink water?

Well, every day of course! Staying hydrated (provide water for someone to keep them healthy) is a priority for me since I easily get a headache if I don’t, not to mention my weight loss goals. Drinking enough water is of paramount importance for health.

What kind of water do you like to drink?

All different kinds; I’m not too picky (selective)! I either drink tap water that I put in a Brita filter, or bottled water from time to time (sometimes). I usually put water in my refillable water bottle and carry it around me with me all day.

One English language book I used was “English Grammar in Use” by Raymond Murphy. I bought it a couple of years ago while preparing for my IELTS exam. I had heard about it from a friend who said it was one of the best grammar books for learners of English, especially for self-study.

The main reason I chose this book was because of its simple explanations and clear structure. Each unit focuses on a specific grammar topic, like tenses, conditionals, or modals, and there are plenty of exercises to practice each point. I found it very useful for strengthening my grammar, especially in areas where I used to make a lot of mistakes, like articles and prepositions.

As for whether it was difficult or easy to use—I would say it was quite easy. The book is very user-friendly, and it’s written in simple English. It also includes answers at the back, which made it easy to check my progress and correct myself. However, some of the advanced grammar sections were a bit tricky at first, but with regular practice, I managed to understand them.

Overall, using that book helped me gain more confidence in writing and speaking, and it definitely played a part in improving my IELTS band score.

Do you think it’s important to read English books?

Yes, definitely. Reading English books helps improve vocabulary, grammar, and overall language comprehension. It also exposes learners to different writing styles and cultural ideas, which is especially helpful for language exams and real-life communication.

What kind of books are most useful for English learners?

It depends on the learner’s level. For beginners, books with simple stories and visuals are helpful. For intermediate and advanced learners, grammar books, vocabulary builders, and novels with modern English can be very useful. Also, books with exercises and audio materials can enhance both reading and listening skills.

Do people in your country enjoy reading in English?

Yes, many people in my country are interested in learning English, and reading English books is quite popular among students and professionals. However, some people still find it challenging and prefer translations or books in their native language.

Is reading the only way to learn a language?

No, reading is just one part of the process. Listening, speaking, and writing are equally important. Watching movies, speaking with native speakers, using apps, and taking formal classes all contribute to language learning. The more varied the methods, the better the results.
