Usually, free decoration with lighting and original flowers because it gives me a fresh fragrance, and lighting gives me positive Vibes.

My home is decorated with artificial flower pots, voice family pictures, some natural pictures, and some furniture.

Sun’s yellowish colour is my favourite when I decorate my home because it is very positive for us and give me energy.

I like a light pink colour when I paint my room because it is my favourite colour as well as it looks very nice.

Yes, the maturity of my country’s people likes to refurnish their houses and redecorate because they like to give a new look to their home where they spend their whole day.

One of the most embarrassing experiences I’ve ever had occurred during my final year of high school, about four years ago. I was participating in a school talent show, which was a big annual event. I had signed up to sing a song, and I had practiced for weeks. On the day of the event, I was with my classmates and a few teachers, and the auditorium was packed with students from all grades.

When it was finally my turn, I walked up on stage, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. As the music started, I began singing confidently, but within a few seconds, I completely forgot the lyrics. I froze in front of the microphone, trying to remember the next line, but my mind went completely blank. The background music kept playing, and I just stood there, feeling the heat rise to my cheeks.

A few people in the audience started giggling, and someone whispered, “He’s forgotten the words.” I honestly wanted the ground to swallow me up. After a few awkward seconds, I managed to hum a little and then signaled to stop the music. I apologized to the audience and quickly walked off the stage. It was mortifying.

Afterwards, I felt really embarrassed and avoided talking about it for a while. But gradually, I was able to laugh it off. My friends were really supportive and told me it wasn’t a big deal. In fact, a few others admitted they’d had similar experiences. That helped me feel a lot better. Looking back, it taught me to be more prepared—and also not to take myself too seriously.

The more often someone faces these situations, the better they get at staying calm and recovering gracefully.

Do you think people laugh at others’ embarrassing situations in your country?

Yes, that does happen sometimes, especially among close friends. In many cultures, including mine, laughter is often used as a way to cope with awkward situations. However, it really depends on the context—if the laughter is light-hearted, it’s usually fine. But if it turns into mockery or bullying, it can be quite damaging. Thankfully, people are becoming more aware of the impact of their reactions.

Can embarrassment ever be beneficial?

Definitely. While it can be uncomfortable in the moment, embarrassment can help us grow. It teaches us humility, builds emotional resilience, and even helps us improve our social skills. Sometimes, embarrassing situations remind us to be more mindful or better prepared in the future. In that sense, they can be valuable learning experiences.
