Tell me something about your family?

Well….. I belong to a simple, small and nuclear family. I am living with adorable parents and two small sisters. All coordinate with one another and live happily. I must say God has blessed me with “A CLOSE KNIT FAMILY”

What do you like doing most with your family?

I like to have long meals, amusement, fun and frolic, would like to tease my sisters, sharing griefs and sorrows with them. These is a common saying – “The family which eats together, lives together and laughs together is truly a close knit family.”

Who are close to you in your family?

Well… I am very close to my mother, “A true picture of maternity”. She cooks what I wish to eat. She loves and teaches me what is good or bad for me. She is really a very virtuous lady with the blend of passionate feelings of a child. I wish to salute this real role model and admire this wonderful creation of God on this planet.

In what way is your family important to you?

My family is everything to me. My family members are my best friends and they support me in every real challenge of my life. I know they are always with me, no matter what. They are not only my best friends, but we truly are tied with strong bonds of respect, unity and strength. That’s why I used to say my family is my real earned wealth and strength.

What are your hobbies?

There is no one thing I’m fanatical about. I have various interests. I am a keen cook and love to make new dishes. I love reading books. I am creative too and love to follow new tracks every day. Frankly speaking, hobbies add charms to life and pull out the hidden talents and abilities.

What do you like about your hobbies?

Well….the thing that really fascinates me about my hobbies are that it pulls out my hidden talents and abilities. It brings positive changes in my life. It proves to be a creative utilisation of time. It is the best way to refuel your body and mind.

What type of hobbies are popular among teenagers in your country?

Actually, hobbies are personal tastes of every individual. As far as my country’s teenage hobbies are concerned, I must say that among boys hobbies like getting involved with online friends, regular visitor of Orkut, Facebook and Twitter, Net surfing, health resorts, gyms and spa, sending SMS, etc. and among Girls are STORIES, Puzzles, Chatting, Tidbits, Creative Arts, etc.

PART – 2 CUE CARD

Describe an interesting place you have been to with a friend.

You should say:

SAMPLE ANSWER

One of the most interesting places I’ve visited with a friend is Huangshan or Yellow Mountain, which is located in the Anhui Province of China. Huangshan is famous for its stunning scenery, granite peaks, hot springs, and the famous “sea of clouds.” It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of China’s most iconic tourist destinations.

We decided to go there because both of us love hiking and were looking for an adventure in nature. Huangshan is not just about the physical beauty of the landscape but also about its rich cultural history. We had heard about its breathtaking views from people who had been there, so we were eager to experience it ourselves.

Once we arrived, we spent a few days hiking up the mountain trails. The weather was slightly foggy at the time, which added to the mystical atmosphere. We walked through ancient pine trees that seemed to grow in bizarre and fascinating shapes, and the granite peaks stood tall, surrounded by clouds, creating a dreamlike effect. One of the most memorable parts of our trip was catching the sunrise at one of the highest viewpoints. We woke up early, around 4:30 AM, to ensure we had a good spot, and the sight of the sun rising over the peaks was truly unforgettable. It felt like we were witnessing nature’s finest spectacle.

In addition to hiking and enjoying the views, we also visited some ancient temples and enjoyed the local cuisine in nearby villages. The food was delicious, especially the Huangshan tofu, which was famous in the region.

Overall, it was a wonderful trip, and the combination of adventure, beauty, and history made it a very memorable experience.

PART – 3 FOLLOW UPS

Do you like to travel with friends or alone? Why?

I enjoy both, but traveling with friends tends to be more fun because you can share the experience and create memories together. It’s also safer and you have someone to talk to during the journey.

How do you prepare for a trip to a place like that?

For a trip like Huangshan, preparation is key. First, I researched the weather, trail difficulty, and the best viewpoints. We also made sure to pack light but carry essentials like water, snacks, and a good camera. Planning for a hike like that also involves checking for any necessary permits or travel advisories.

Is it important to travel to places like this?

Yes, I think it’s very important. Visiting places like Huangshan helps us connect with nature, away from the hustle of modern life. It also offers a chance to learn about different cultures and history, and it can be very rejuvenating both physically and mentally.
