Do you think children should learn to play musical instruments?

There are numerous positive outcomes for children who start learning an instrument. It gives them more self-assurance and teaches them discipline and persistence and in my opinion, everyone should at least learn to play any one instrument because it helps in restoring mind peace.

Do you think it’s important to give music classes in school?

Yes for sure, I do think that schools need to have music classes in their curriculum, so that students don’t get bored of studying all the time and also can build a hobby of music if they are interested in it.

How do you feel about those kids who know how to play lots of instruments?

Those who know how to play more than one instrument are very talented in the field of music and I definitely think they should pursue their career in the music industry only.

How do you feel about the phenomenon that parents in Vietnam are always forcing their kids to learn all kinds of instruments?

In my opinion, children regardless of where they are from shouldn’t be forced to learn anything if they don’t have an interest in that. Also, parents in Vietnam should not force their kids to learn instruments without them having interest because they will not learn it with full passion and their heart which is not worth it.

Do you play any instruments? And what is it?

Yes, I am a major admirer of the guitar, and I began learning to play the guitar at a young age. When I play the guitar, my happy hormones are released through my bloodstream, and it provides a fantastic escape whenever I experience stress in my life.

One traditional garment from my country is the sari. The sari is a long piece of fabric, typically around 6 to 9 yards in length, which is draped elegantly around the body. It is usually made from cotton, silk, or synthetic fibers, and can feature a variety of intricate designs and embellishments, such as embroidery or beading. The sari is often paired with a blouse (choli) and a petticoat (undergarment worn underneath).

While saris are often worn for special occasions such as weddings, festivals, and formal events, they can also be worn on a daily basis in many parts of the country, especially in rural areas or during important family gatherings. In urban areas, though, it is more common for women to wear saris during festivals, celebrations, or work events.

I would describe the sari as an elegant and graceful garment that showcases the rich cultural heritage of my country. The way it is draped around the body allows for a great deal of creativity and personalization in how it is worn, and the fabric and design can reflect various regional traditions. The sari is not only a piece of clothing but also a symbol of tradition, beauty, and femininity.

What I like most about the sari is its versatility. There are so many different ways to wear it, and the different fabrics and designs make it suitable for almost any occasion. I also appreciate how a sari makes the wearer look graceful, yet it can be very comfortable depending on the fabric chosen. Additionally, the sari is a wonderful way to connect with cultural heritage and express personal style at the same time.

Do people in your country wear traditional clothes often?

In my country, traditional clothes are often worn during festivals, weddings, and other cultural events. While it’s common to wear modern clothing for daily activities, many people still cherish wearing traditional attire for special occasions. In rural areas, however, it’s more common to see people wearing traditional clothes every day, like saris for women and dhotis or kurta-pajamas for men.

What types of traditional clothes do men wear in your country?

Men in my country typically wear kurta-pajama, which is a long tunic paired with loose trousers. For formal or religious occasions, men may wear a sherwani, a more elaborate tunic, often with embroidery. In some regions, men wear dhoti, a traditional piece of cloth wrapped around the waist and tied in a specific way, especially during weddings or religious ceremonies.

Is there any significance behind the colors and patterns of a sari?

Yes, the colors and patterns of a sari can hold a lot of significance. For example, red is often worn by brides because it symbolizes prosperity and fertility, while yellow is considered auspicious and is worn during festivals. Different regions and cultures within the country also have unique styles and patterns of saris. For instance, Banarasi saris from Varanasi are known for their gold thread work, and Kanjivaram saris from Tamil Nadu are famous for their heavy silk and bright colors.

Are there any challenges associated with wearing a sari?

Yes, wearing a sari can be challenging for someone who isn’t familiar with how to drape it properly. It requires practice to get the folds right and to ensure it stays in place. Additionally, it can be difficult to wear in certain situations, like while traveling or in very hot weather, due to its length and the layers involved. However, once you get the hang of it, it becomes much easier.
