What kinds of places are crowded?

Almost everywhere in my city! However, I would say especially the streets. For one, people really like spending time eating and hanging out on the streets. Secondly, since the old streets are narrow, they tend to become overcrowded with vehicles. Moreover, markets and shopping malls are quite hectic, as people in my country enjoy street shopping.

Do you like to go to crowded places?

Not one bit! I start to feel extremely overwhelmed and want to exit the area immediately. Moreover, it’s unpleasant to be pushed and shoved in overcrowded places. Furthermore, it’s even worse in the summer when people are sweating and have body odor!

Why do some people like to go to crowded places?

Hmm, well I guess they like the chaos. For some, it’s exciting to watch madness unfold around them. Furthermore, I think they like the lively feeling that crowded places carry. Perhaps it’s interesting to those who come from small towns and villages.

When was the last time you were in a crowded place?

The last time I was in a crowded place was when I had gone out to attend a religious procession with my family. Even though I wasn’t keen on going since I obviously dislike crowds, my family made me go with them as it was an important festival for us.

One thing I am planning to do after I pass the IELTS test is to start a short-term study program abroad. I’m aiming to begin this program within a few months after receiving my results. My primary goal is to immerse myself in an English-speaking environment, which will not only help me improve my language skills further but also enhance my understanding of different cultures.

I’ve had this plan in mind for quite some time—about a year. It initially stemmed from my desire to gain a more practical command of English and to experience life in another country. I believe that living and studying abroad will provide me with invaluable experiences that I can’t get from a classroom alone.

As for other options, there are indeed alternatives that could be equally beneficial. For instance, I could opt to take an intensive language course locally or participate in virtual exchange programs that offer similar cultural insights. However, I feel that being physically present in another country and interacting with people there will offer a more immersive experience and allow for deeper personal growth.

Why do you think studying abroad is a good way to improve your language skills?

Studying abroad is an excellent way to improve language skills because it provides constant exposure to the language in real-life contexts. Daily interactions, both formal and informal, force you to use and practice the language continuously. Additionally, being in a country where English is the primary language allows for immediate feedback and correction from native speakers, which accelerates learning and helps you develop a more natural fluency.

What challenges do you expect to face while studying abroad?

One challenge I anticipate is adjusting to a new cultural environment and possibly experiencing some initial homesickness. Adapting to different educational systems and social norms might also be a bit challenging. However, I believe these challenges will ultimately contribute to my personal growth and make the experience more rewarding.

Do you think there are any specific countries that would be particularly beneficial for this kind of study program?

Yes, I think countries like the United Kingdom, Canada, or the United States would be particularly beneficial due to their diverse educational programs and rich cultural experiences. Each of these countries offers a range of academic opportunities and a vibrant environment for English language learners. Additionally, they have well-established support systems for international students, which can help ease the transition.

How do you plan to manage the costs associated with studying abroad?

I plan to manage the costs by applying for scholarships and financial aid that are available for international students. Additionally, I will budget carefully and look for part-time work opportunities if allowed. Saving up in advance and exploring cost-effective living arrangements will also help in managing expenses.
