You may address me as Radha.

Indeed, there are a lot of advertisements. Apart from television commercials and print adverts, outdoor advertising is also very popular in my country.
IELTS Speaking Interview
Why do you think there are so many advertisements now?
In my view, there are two main reasons why we see so many ads around us. Firstly, advertising has become a powerful tool to promote any product and to reach a wide range of audience. Secondly, manufacturers spend a substantial amount of their annual budget on ads.
What are the various places where we see advertisement?
In today’s media dominated world, advertisements can be seen everywhere – television, newspapers, magazines and roads. From hoardings and pamphlets to stickers and banners, there are numerous forms of advertising that cover almost every place around us.
IELTS Speaking Interview
How do you feel about advertisements?
I feel that advertisements have become an essential part of our environment. However, too many commercials on TV and radio often irritate me, especially when I’m watching or listening to my favorite programs. Excessive adverts in the newspaper also reduce my interest in reading.
Do you like to take photographs?
I am not a professional photographer and my interests vary for a career. However, I do like clicking photographs from my iPhone, either when I am travelling or at parties. For me, photographs are a mere collection of the memories made which I often display at my house of social media account. Taking those crazy pictures, sometimes hazy fill me with joy and remind me of the great times I had.
Would you like to study photography?
Presently not. I think there is already a lot on my plate. With a job at a corporate and being a freelancer leaves very little time for any learning. Also, my focus right now is on improving my writing and speaking skills. Having said that, photography is something I would love to learn but in the distant future and not immediately.

Do you take photographs of yourself?
Not very often, I would say, but yes I do. Especially, when I have to go to a party, I click photos from my phone just to make sure that I am looking good. Also, it may sound funny, but I do take my snaps when I am sad. The moment I see myself depressed I cheer up. It is my way of fighting back and reminding myself that life is beautiful. And then there are times when I am bored. So, I usually go to those crazy Instagram features and make funny faces and take pictures.
Do you have any good family photographs?
Very few I must say. And from the ones that we have, most of them are really crazy! Almost all of them have at least one of us making a weird face. But, there is a photograph of ours where my parents are holding me and my brother in their arms and we are smiling solemnly and are parents are looking at each other. It really makes me feel good and is framed and kept in the house.

SAMPLE ANSWER
Every one of us has some dreams in our lives regarding materialistic things. We always keep on adding something or the other to our wish list. Sometimes we are limited by financial issues and have to wait to acquire them. I have always had different things that have been added to my wish list. One of those things is a solar panel setup for my home, which can power up the lights and heat the water supply.
It is a very good set up that is not only highly cost-effective but also environment-friendly. I went to a nearby shop to inquire about the details about the cost and the setup. I was told that it would cost me one hundred thousand Indian rupees to get the set up installed on the roof of my house.
IELTS Speaking Interview
Actually, I cannot afford this much amount right now as I have spent all my savings to buy a car two months ago. Due to this reason, I would have to wait for some time and save more money to buy the solar panel setup.
However, there is another way that I can choose to acquire it. I can purchase it on a minimal down payment and get a loan that I can pay off in monthly instalments later. But I would most preferably avoid this choice due to the fact that it would become a tiresome responsibility to set apart the instalment amount every month. Not to mention the extra amount that I would have to spend upon the loan interest. Hence, I have decided to wait for some time and purchase it at a later point.

Absolutely. People’s buying habits have altered dramatically due to technological breakthroughs. The majority of consumers have shifted their shopping habits. They buy almost everything virtually through online platforms. In India, it’s very rare that people physically go out to a store to shop because they buy all the products online. If they can’t find the product online, they tend to visit offline stores to purchase the same.
Do people spend too much time shopping these days? Why?
Yes, nowadays people spend too much time shopping than what they did in the past. Because of the increased accessibility of smartphones and online shopping applications, it has become effortless for consumers to spend their time online searching for and purchasing their desired products.
Does technology affect our shopping habits? Why?
Yes, technology has undoubtedly been one of the most critical drivers of consumerism in recent decades. With the introduction of e-commerce, it has become more accessible for people to shop anything and everything, such as clothes, speciality foods, electronic devices, etc., at a pace without making an effort to go out.
Clothes, specialised foods, electronic devices, and other items at their leisure without leaving the house. Even the businesses that have made their way into e-commerce are gaining immense profit. As a result, E-commerce has made it easier for customers to shop for their favourite items and have more options.
